Who we are
HiVis Websites is a trading name of [full name], a sole trader based in the UK. We decide how your data is used, which makes us the "controller" under UK data protection law. Contact: [email], [postal address].
What we collect
- Your contact details: your name, mobile number and, if you give it, a link to your website or social media page.
- Your answers: the four questions in the order window, as voice notes or text. A voice note contains your voice and anything you say in it.
- Technical details: which headline you saw, the page address and your language. Our hosting provider also keeps short-term request logs (such as IP address and browser type) to run and protect the site.
- Advertising cookies, only if you agree: see "Cookies" below.
Please don't include anything sensitive, such as health information, in your answers. We don't need it.
Why we use it
- To reply to your request, understand your business and build your website. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract with you.
- To run the site securely and stop spam. The legal basis is our legitimate interests.
- To measure our ads, only with your consent.
We don't sell your data and we don't use it for anything else. We won't call you: we only message you.
Who handles it for us
- Cloudflare hosts this website and passes your request on to us.
- Telegram is where your request, answers and voice notes arrive for us.
- [transcription / translation service] turns voice notes into text and translates them.
- Google Fonts supplies the fonts on this page, so your browser connects to Google when the page loads.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram) receives ad measurement data, only if you accept cookies.
Some of these providers process data outside the UK. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by UK adequacy regulations or by the provider's standard data protection contracts.
How long we keep it
If we build your site, we keep your details for as long as we work together and then as long as the law requires for our records. If we don't go ahead, we delete your request, answers and voice notes within [12 months — to confirm].
Cookies
The site works without any advertising cookies. If you click "Accept" in the cookie banner, we load the Meta Pixel to see which ads bring visitors and requests. If you click "No thanks", nothing is loaded. We remember your choice in your browser's local storage. The thank-you page also uses your browser's session storage to show your first name; it is cleared straight away.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to withdraw consent at any time. Just message us at [email]. If you're not happy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
